12:25 am oddigy [Link]	hey. Went to the apartment office and bled some money today. I'm going to be getting a unit Mid-August, tentatively the 14th. Also, Season 3 arena titles were handed out today. Guess that 1650 I maintained for a while with a resto druid and MS warrior paid off. Now, rogues and enhancement shamans are completely obliterating most clothies in arena, and the shadow priests I ran with in 2v2 got hosed EVERY TIME by the Discipline Priest/Rogue combo. Ah, a warlock's day in the sun is finally over. I still enjoy taking the top damage spot in battlegrounds, though. Blah blah WoW. I'm going to be playing a lot less while I work on getting my crap packed up. I'm moving. \o/ Current Mood: lolsup (4 comments \| Leave a comment)

01:17 pm shihtzu [Link]	Organamatronic So this guy I know from the session in Palo Alto, Michael, invited me to play with his band, Organamatronic, at their first live gig. It's all low-key ambient improv music, so we didn't rehearse or anything; I just showed up in Half Moon Bay Saturday morning with my fiddle, and once they were all set up we started with the rock-out. The way they work, apparently, is Michael's got like 15 different instruments lying around, and he noodles around on them while Delaney mans the mixing software and picks out things to loop, slowly building a texture over time with instruments ranging from electric guitar to mandolin, kalimba, whistle, hang, bouzouki, electric bass, and on and on. It's a pretty impressive operation for just two people. I hung out in the back and dinked around when the mic wasn't otherwise occupied. Annnyway, it turns out they recorded the gig, so take a listen if you like! I sucked on most of it, but tracks 2 and 5 I think turned out not too bad. I'll get better, I promise. Either way, fun! 02:52 pm oddigy [Link]	Obligatory update. Time doesn't really have a meaning anymore. The only way I can tell how far we are into the month is when I consider whether or not I've paid this bill or that bill yet. Anyway, I did a little more apartment hunting on Friday, and found this place. I did a walk-through on Friday and spent a good 45 minutes talking to one of the office staff, and everything seemed reasonable. The complex is set up for U-Verse. There are an unholy assload of bookshelves built into the walls, and the one-bedroom units have washer/dryer connections. I think I know where I'm moving. Work continues to go well, no complaints.
